About the Event

On August 23rd, 2018, the Louisiana Grazing Lands Coalition in conjnction with The LSU AgCenter are hosting a Pollinator Workshop in Farmerville, LA. The main purpose of the workshop is to discuss the benefits of pollinators to pastures in both soil health improvement as well as nutritional benefit to grazing stock. We will also discuss some new technology coming on the market that allows for biological control of army worms. The benefits of this would be longer term control of worms through the grazing season as well as posing no threat to honeybees and other beneficial pollinators. NRCS Union Parish Conservationist Stephanie Cruse along with LSU AgCenter's, Dr. Sebe Brown and Dr. Wink Allison will be the featured speakers.
